When uploading a component or updating Seber Cart in Joomla you may get the following error:

Fatal Error: jfolder::infinite loop detected

This error is caused by an incorrect setting in you Joomla configuration file. Your path to the log folder and tmpfolder are not set correctly.

If you are an experienced Joomla user you can fix this by editing your configuration.php file. Otherwise follow these steps
 

• Log in to to your Joomla administration console
• Click on Global Configuration
• Select System
• Under System Settings you will see Path to Log folder. This needs to be set to the path of your sites log folder. This is normally the logs folder in your joomla root folder
• Now click on Server
• Under System Settings you will see Path to Temp folder. This needs to be set to the path of your sites temp folder. This is normally the tmp folder in your joomla root folder
• Click on Save

If you are not sure what your servers path is to your web site can try just setting the folders to logs and tmp with any path info. Just make sure you have a logs and tmp folder in the root of your web site and that they have permissions set correctly
