This tutorial will show you how to change your Seber Cart Language File, why would I want to do that you ask?

•    For some reason or another maybe text isn’t showing up on a button.

•    You have changed a field and forgot what it was.

•    Text isn’t showing up in columns or in drop downs.

•    You wish to change the default language.

Most text problems can be solved by editing or changing your Seber Cart Language File, let’s begin shall we.

Editing Your Language File

•    Login into Joomla Admin with your username and password.

•    Hover over  Components and select -> Seber Cart -> Control Panel

•    Find Configuration in the tabs above and click.

•    On the left side of the screen you will see Language Editor. (You might have to scroll down)

•    Look for the “Edit Section Text” next to it will have a drop down, find section you wish to edit and click select. (Example I would like to edit “Page: View Order” so that I can change QTY to Quantity.)

•    Once you click select that page of the language file will load and you will see a list of “Edit Texts”.

•    Find the field you wish to edit (For me it is number 8, QTY).

•    Change the text to whatever you wish (For me it is Quantity).

•    Click save, and you’re done.

Once saving the language fie simply reload the page in the front end of Joomla or wait for another email if you edited an email language file and the changes will be done.

Editing the Language File to Changing Language.

•    Login into Joomla Admin with your username and password.

•    Hover over  Components and select -> Seber Cart -> Control Panel

•    Find Configuration in the tabs above and click.

•    On the left side of the screen you will see Language Editor. (You might have to scroll down)

•    Look for the “Edit Section Text” next to it will have a drop down, find section you wish to edit and click select. (Example I would like to edit “Page: View Order” so that I can change QTY to Menge for my German Shopping Cart.)

•    Once you click select that page of the language file will load and you will see a list of “Edit Texts”.

•    Find the field you wish to edit (For me it is number 8, QTY).

•    Change the text to whatever you wish (For me it is Menge).

•    Click save, and you’re done.

If you wish to convert you whole language file feel free to do so, due to the fast and speed of Seber Cart Development we do not support non English Language Files.

Importing a new Language File.

•    Navigate to http://www.sebercart.com/index.php/extras/languages in order to download the latest version of the Seber Cart Language File.

•    Right click the Language File you wish to download and select “Save Target As” (May change depending on browser) from the dropdown.

•    If you wish to edit the Language File before uploading as sometimes that can be faster to just skim through it, open the Language File in your favourite text editor for example Notepad, and change what you wish. (For this example we will make no changes)

•    Login into Joomla Admin with your username and password.

•    Hover over  Components and select -> Seber Cart -> Control Panel

•    Find Configuration in the tabs above and click.

•    On the left side of the screen you will see Language Editor. (You might have to scroll down)

•    Look for “Import Language File” there is a browse button click that and navigate to where you saved the Language File that was downloaded off the Seber Cart website.

•    Select the new Language File click open on the bottom right of the window, the window will close and then press “Import File”

•    Let the page load the File and then you will get a message saying that the file has been installed correctly or failed, all things going to plan you should have no problems.

Only upload a certified and valid Seber Cart Language tab delimited file.
